Here's one example of his tweet.
The user @yawnki said "US gov. should explain the incident in New York where Tianjing people were burnt"
"This is a grievous incident. /candle /candle But we look through all media reports in United Stated, and this incident didn't happen in New York city" replied US consulate in Shanghai" replied US consulate
Tianjing mall fire. It's said that the fire truck arrive late, and only handful arrive at all. State media said only 10 people died and nobody reported missing. It's a five story building and the fire burned for several hours, no one believe the figures by state media. Other media are ordered not do independent report or do any report at all except copy and paste the post by sate media. It's, of course a heavily censored subject on Weibo.
One major media in China Nanny published an article about such phenomenon with the title"A handle sell Meng" a few days ago. You could also read how "the U.S. consulates in Shanghai and Hong Kong have stood out for their use of playful language filled with trendy online expressions by Chinese web users to chime in on hot social and political topics in China" on US social media account in China disappears
Today, to my surprise, the weibo account of US consulate in Shangha is blocked by weibo, twice!
Here's the google cache of his weibo.(Image is taken from the cache)
Original account: weibo.com/usconsulateshanghai -> user blocked(exactly when is it blocked?)
Second account: weibo.com/u/2852249711 ->user deleted (deleted on July 12 2012, 3PM Beijing time)
Third account: weibo.com/u/2882303557 -> still alive (as of July 12 2012, 10PM Beijing time) Some tweet has been censored.-> user deleted (July 12 2012 afternoon Beijingtime)
Note: It's reported that the second and third account is not officially operated by U.S consulate. But it's not clear whether they're operated by staff of consulate or just by ordinary Chinese citizen.
Example of his censored tweet.
"Sorry, this tweet is not suitable for publication. If you need help, please contact customer support.http://t.cn/z0D6ZaQ"
Note: Only VIP weibo account could be viewed without your logging in. So if you see a login page, just fill the name: [email protected] password: weibo123
The original account is VIP verified and has more than 84K followers. Second and third account are not VIP verified. Also, newly registered user have to provide a valid name with the corresponding Mainland China identity card number to tweet/retweet/comment. Don't know how they got those info.
"This time,we lost to China " says US consulate in Shanghai after original weibo account is deleted. And he just had enough time post post this very tweet before the 2nd account was deleted. He get 376 followers by then. He just had time to post this one tweet before his account was deleted again.
He registered another account and changed his bio to US consulate-general in Shanghai III (Party member of Incarnation party )
His first tweet is that "according to relevant law-tortoise, I have to incarnate again. This is my 3rd life"
"law-tortoise" is homophone with "laws and regulations" in Chinese.
Why is his weibo account blocked?
"Honey, what's wrong? You incarnated again.Do you know why?" said one user.
"Oh, such a pool thing. Which law do you violate to be blocked again and again?" Said another.
His reply was "I have no clue myself"
His Tencent weibo is not blocked though. And he posted an announcement concerning this matter on this platform.(http://t.qq.com/USConsulateShanghai)

He changes his name to US-China talk and stated in his bio"Tweets don't represent official attitude " (of US consulate in Shanghai)
And post another controversial tweet. "Let's forget the past for a moment, just talk about the last 10 years. I observe the government do nothing except keeping stability, demolishing houses, increasing housing prices and commodity prices. Oh, almost forget, the government also launched Shenzhou-9 "
Update: 3rd account deleted
Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Weimin said he had no information on the inaccessibility of the consulate's blog, adding China manages the Internet according to its laws and regulations.
A Sina Weibo employee in a department that oversees the microblog site's operations said there could be a technical glitch."
